What are you planning to be doing in August 2012?

The Answer for a privileged group of Osteopaths will be “working at the Olympic Games!’ Will you be one of them?

The above is the title of a Conference and Gala Dinner to launch OSCA’s education programme towards 2012. It takes place on Saturday, 22 November 2008 at the fabulous Ashridge Business College (see www.ashridge.org.uk then use dropdown menu, click “About Ashridge” and select “Conference Centre”) just 10 minutes from Junction 9 of the M1. Overnight stays are available at a very good rate.

The day will start with a morning of clinically based lectures and workshops. At lunch there will be an excellent (organised) opportunity to “meet and mingle” and in the afternoon the lectures will relate to London 2012, the role of the Osteopathic profession and details of how those who are interested can enhance their chances of being involved.

Speakers include Dr Helmut Hoffman (Orthopaedic Consultant to Bayern Munich), Mr Adrian Casey (Consultant Neurosurgeon, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery), Dr Pam Venning (Manager of Medical Services for the 2012 Olympics), Dr Laurance Gant (Emergency Medicine Consultant responsible for the Olympics’ support at Homerton Hospital), Manju Mital (Senior Lecturer, Northampton School of Podiatry), John Neal (Psycho Physiologist and Performance Coach to the Welsh National Rugby Squad) and Laurence Kirk (Osteopath, Oxford Brookes University).
